The short version
This website has no accounts, no login, no payments and no database, and it does not sell or rent information about you. To see how the site is used, it counts visits with Google Analytics, which is described below, along with how to switch it off. Nothing here records your visit as a replay.
What we ask for, and what happens to it
The enquiry form and Sur, the booking concierge, do ask for details such as your name, your city, a date and anything you would like the team to know. That is so the message you send makes sense to whoever reads it.
What matters is what happens next. Everything you type stays in your own browser while you type it. It is never stored on this website and never sent to any server of ours. There is no database here and no account to create. Your details leave your device when WhatsApp opens with the prepared message. From that moment WhatsApp can receive it, even before you press send, and it reaches Ankit Batra’s team only if you do.
What happens when you make an enquiry
The enquiry form and Sur assemble the answers you give into a message and then open WhatsApp on your own device, with that message ready to send. You choose whether to send it. If you do, the conversation lives in WhatsApp between you and Ankit Batra’s team, and is governed by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy, not by this one.
What is stored on your own device
A few small preferences are saved in your browser so the site behaves the way you left it. They never leave your device and we cannot read them:
- ab_diya remembers that you lit a diya on the prayer meetings page, so it is still lit when you return.
- sur_sound remembers whether you muted the site’s sound.
- ab.install.snoozed remembers that you dismissed the invitation to add the site to your home screen, so you are not asked again.
- ab_seen remembers, until you close the tab, that the opening animation has already played.
Google Analytics also sets cookies. Unlike the preferences above, those are sent to Google; they are described in the next section.
Your browser also keeps a copy of the pages you open, and of the images, fonts and code they use, so the site loads faster when you come back and still works without a signal. This happens for every visitor, not only those who add the site to their home screen, and nothing in that copy is sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data removes all of this.
Visitor statistics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not build a profile of you. From it we see totals, never individuals.
Google Analytics
We also use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly where they are and how they found the site. It records the pages you open, your type of device and browser, and the country and city your connection suggests. Google uses your IP address to work out that location and to filter out junk traffic, and states that it never ties the raw IP address to you and discards it once it has been used.
It sets two cookies on this site, _ga and a second one beginning _ga_, which recognise a returning visitor and hold a visit together. Google gives them a two-year life, though most browsers shorten that. Nothing here is used for advertising: the advertising features of Google Analytics are switched off in the code, and we run no ad tags.
Google Analytics is not loaded at all for visitors in Europe. Cookies there need your agreement first, and rather than put a consent banner on the site we leave the whole thing switched off for anyone whose device is set to a European time zone. They are still counted in the anonymous totals described above.
Google processes this data for Ankit Batra Music under its Analytics terms and is not permitted to use it for its own products. The visit-by-visit detail is kept for at most 14 months and then deleted; the overall counts in the reports remain. How Google handles data from sites that use its services is set out in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can switch Google Analytics off on every website you visit with Google’s opt-out add-on.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, Google Analytics is not loaded at all and nothing is sent to Google. The anonymous page counts described above still apply.
When you send an enquiry, we also count that one was sent and which kind of evening it was about, for example a bhajan sandhya or a prayer meeting. We count how far you get in the conversation with Sur too — the name of the step you reached, such as “city” or “date”, so we can see where it becomes tiresome. Your name, city, date and message are never part of any of that. They go only into the WhatsApp message you send yourself.
Advertising
We run no advertising on this website and no remarketing: there is no Meta Pixel and no Google Ads tag, we do not use anything here to follow you around other websites or to build an advertising profile of you, and Google Analytics’ advertising features are switched off.
Content from other services
Some pages include material served by others, and opening those pages means your browser contacts them directly:
- YouTube serves the embedded video, through youtube-nocookie.com, its privacy-enhanced mode.
- Google Maps shows the studio location on the contact page.
- Google Analytics receives the visit counts described above.
Each of these is governed by its own provider’s privacy policy.
Children
This site is intended for those arranging performances and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
The website itself keeps no record of who you are: there are no accounts and no database. If you send an enquiry, Ankit Batra’s team keeps that WhatsApp conversation so they can reply and arrange the evening. What Google Analytics holds is tied to a pseudonymous ID in a cookie rather than to your name; clearing your browser data ends it, and the opt-out links above stop it being collected again. If you would rather not be counted at all, turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser stops it. If you have written to Ankit Batra’s team on WhatsApp and would like that conversation removed, ask on +91 98168 30312 and it will be deleted.
